Rest in Perfection

Bad news on this day. I remember the first time I heard above the clouds. For me, it was perfect. It was what a Hip Hop track should be. Here are a few of my favorite cuts. RIP Guru.

[Guru]
I Self Lord And Master, shall bring disaster to evil factors
Demonic chapters, shall be captured by Kings
Through the storms of days after
Unto the Earth from the Sun through triple darkness to blast ya
with a force that can't be compared
to any firepower, for it's mindpower shared
The brainwake, causes vessels to circulate
like constellations reflect at night off the lake
Word to the father, and Mother Earth
Seeking everlasting life through this Hell for what it's worth
Look listen and observe
and watch another C-Cypher pullin my peeps to the curb
Heed the words; it's like ghetto style proverbs
The righteous pay a sacrifice to get what they deserve
Cannot afford to be confined to a cell
Brainwaves swell, turnin a desert to a well
Experience the best teacher; thoughts will spray
like street sweepers Little Daddy street preacher
Illustrious feature, narrator you select
Accompanied by Deck plus the DJ you respect
The seven and a half combine, over the frontline
The ten percenters, promotin slander in the airtime
Bear in mind jewels be the tools of the trade
Sharp veins heavenly praise and dues are paid

Above the crowds, above the clouds where the sounds are original
Infinite skills create miracles
Warrior spiritual -- above the clouds
reigning/raining down, holdin it down

and its also because of this track that made me NOT want to rap. i didnt have the voice. i needed to CHILLLLL.

and ima stop here. if you don`t know, i dont know what to tell you.

The Roots

Been going to Kenroku-en a lot. I have some of the most amazing trees on the planet just down the street. The root game`s beautiful. Also, download the new `Dilla Joints` album. Don`t hate like Anitek.

Your Infamous Harp

Yurp. Check out this album. Its real glitchy, but a bit different because of the female`s vocals. A lot softer then most of the stuff I listen to, but if you listen to the entire album, you`ll get a feel for their concept. Thought provoking love tunes. Some glitch folk idm goodness to let you all know how soft I really am.

Anitek just dropped this instrumental cd. Actually, he just made a cover and attached 17 dope jammy jams to it. Dude makes more instrumentals than anyone. Download it, mix it, smoke to it, like it.

Stoned

Live from planet nippon. Check out this picture of the famous Japanese rock garden at Ryōan-ji in Kyoto. No trees, just 15 irregularly shaped rocks of different sizes, arranged in a bed of white gravel/sand that is raked every day. The thing I like most about it is, nobody knows who designed it. This garden dates back the 14 hundos. hundos son hundos.

RIP Nujabes

The man has passed. When I moved to Japan one of my dreams was to see him live. I saw. I also had the chance to sit down and have a conversation with him about music. I remember walking away feeling enlightened. Nujabes made some real peaceful music and I promise to play it forever.

RIP Seba Jun
